Corporate recipients only. Most UK farm subsidy payments go to sole traders and partnerships trading under a person's own name, and we do not publish those names — see methodology for why. What's here is the corporate share: 3,105 companies, not the full recipient list Defra publishes.
Each payment record states the scheme it was paid under, the paying agency, the recipient's postcode district and the financial year. We group by scheme below because that is how a reader actually asks the question — "who got the Basic Payment Scheme in Kent" — rather than by the underlying funding mechanism, which the raw data sometimes splits in two (an EU-cofinanced and a UK-funded variant of the same scheme).
