Corrections and removals
Free, no forms, no conditions. If your listing is wrong or unwanted, one email fixes it.

If your business is listed and you want it gone
Say so and it will be removed. You do not need to explain why, prove you own the business beyond something simple like an email from the business domain, or listen to an offer. There is no paid alternative and no retention pitch.
Removal means the page is deleted and the business is added to a suppression list, so it does not reappear the next time the data refreshes. That suppression list is the one thing we keep after removal, and it exists purely so your request sticks.
Target: removed within 5 working days.
If a detail is wrong
Send the listing address and the correction. Common ones:
- Wrong name — the register holds a legal name customers never use
- Wrong category — a wholesale unit filed as a farm shop, or vice versa
- Wrong place — usually a partial postcode in the source data
- Closed down — the register lags closures by months
One caveat worth stating: hygiene ratings and registration details come straight from the Food Standards Agency, and we do not overwrite them by hand. If your rating is wrong on this site it is because it is wrong at the FSA, and the fix has to start with your local council's food safety team. Once the register updates, this site follows. Tell us anyway and we will keep an eye on it.
If you are named personally
Many farm businesses are sole traders or partnerships trading under a person's own name, which makes that listing personal data as well as business data. If that is you, you have the right to object to it being published here, and we will act on that without requiring you to cite anything.
Email jack@stackyard.uk. If it is a straightforward removal we will just do it — you should not have to make a formal request to get your own name off a website.
If you have spotted a farm we have missed
Send it over. We are aware the method misses any farm shop whose registered name does not contain a farm-related word — the methodology page explains why. Real examples help us judge how big that gap is.
What we do with what you send
Correspondence is used to action your request and nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, not sold, and not shared. There is no newsletter to be signed up to.
Stackyard publishes information drawn from official public registers. It is not affiliated with the Food Standards Agency, any local authority, or any business listed on it.
