Who we are

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking
This site sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts — first-party or third-party. Every page is static HTML; the only script that runs is the listing filter, which works entirely in your browser and reports nothing back. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
What happens when you read a page
The site is served by Cloudflare, our hosting provider. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes the technical data a request contains — your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent — to deliver the page and to defend the site against attack and abuse. We do not export those logs, analyse them, or join them to anything else.
What happens when you email us
Corrections, removals and enquiries all run over email — how that process works. We hold your address and what you wrote for as long as it takes to deal with, plus a record of what we changed and why, and then it goes. We do not add you to any list and there is no newsletter.
The directory and personal data
Listings are compiled from public sources: the Food Standards Agency's food hygiene rating data, Companies House records, published Defra subsidy payment data and Environment Agency permit registers, alongside each farm's own public website. Most of that is information about businesses. Where a farm trades as a sole trader or partnership, the business's name or address can also be a person's — so a listing can contain personal data.
If that person is you: you can have the record corrected or the listing removed entirely by asking — the corrections and removals page explains the process. No form, no fee, and you do not have to give a reason for a removal.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing of it. Email jack@stackyard.uk; we answer within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time.
Changes
If this site ever introduces analytics, advertising, cookies or anything else this page does not describe, the page will be updated before the change goes live, not after.
