Why this directory is different

Nobody pays to be here

Listings are built from public records, not sold. No sponsored placements, no pay-to-rank, no "featured" tier. If a farm is on the register, it can be on this site.

Every fact has a source

Each listing shows where its information came from, which licence it sits under, and the date we retrieved it. If we do not know something — opening hours, what is in stock — the page says so.

Thin pages stay out of search

County pages with fewer than three listings carry a noindex tag until they have enough on them to be worth finding. We would rather cover less and cover it properly.

Before you set off

This directory is strongest on who exists and where. Where we have found and verified a farm's own website, its listing also shows the opening hours and offerings published there, credited and dated. Where we have not, the listing says so rather than guessing — because on a farm those details change with lambing, harvest and the weather, and stale information is worse than none.

So: use these pages to find candidates near you, then check the farm's own website or social media before you drive out. Ringing ahead is never wasted, especially for pick-your-own, where a wet week can shut a field with no notice.
